Josephine & Louise Crane Foundation
The Josephine and Louise Crane Foundation is a fourth-generation private family foundation established in 1956, which supports nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts.

BCHS is the lead agency for the Pittsfield Coordinated Family and Community Engagement grant. The grant promotes parent education, family engagement, child development, and early literacy.

BCHS is a partner in the Commonwealth Preschool Partner Initiative through North Adams Public Schools. The grant program aims to provide 3—and 4-year-olds in a district with equitable access to high-quality preschool.

BCHS partners with 18Degrees and the Elizabeth Freeman Center to bring Positive Connections. This group fosters positive connections within the Spanish-speaking community by strengthening bonds among families and linking them to the broader community. It helps Spanish-speaking residents in Berkshire County overcome language and cultural barriers, celebrate their heritage, and access resources.
